How to Heal Hair Loss

Hair loss is very common in today’s society. I see it all the time in people, whether someone is eating a vegan diet, a raw vegan diet, or an omnivorous diet. Many people from all walks of life have come to me with hair loss and balding issues. It can be stressful! I know from personal experience! I used to lose so much hair every time I would brush my hair or wash my hair or run my fingers through my hair. I would leave trails of hair all over the house! It was hard to not let this affect my self-esteem, while at the same time I worried for my health because I knew that your natural hair can be a reflection of the health of your body within, and I was someone that had a full head of hair growing up at one point! People would call me Pocahontas when I was younger because I had long, dark, and strong hair. As I progressed into my teen years and adult years, my hair changed each year, getting thinner, drier, weaker, and it was falling out by the handfuls. Battling chronic illness many years ago before I detoxed my body (Fibromyalgia, IBS, Constipation, Endometriosis, Arthritis, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to name a few) didn’t help. Luckily a detoxification protocol healed all my health issues and now I guide my clients in doing the same. To say I have gone through many years of trying several things to grow healthy hair as well as studying the science and art of detoxification is an understatement - it is my passion and my mission on this Earth and in this lifetime to help people suffering with health issues. Today, I am excited to share what has helped so many of my clients finally reverse their hair loss and grow strong hair once again! After years of analyzing many cases and guiding clients on their healing journey, I can confidently say that these are the main root causes of hair loss in people and how to finally correct them naturally. In today’s article, I will be discussing the main causes of hair loss and how to get your hair to finally start growing long and healthy again!

Note: Always remember, our hair can change during the different seasons of our lives, it can shed sometimes more than others just like animals also shed their hair, fur, etc. So as long as you are taking care of your health, your glands and your organs, and addressing the points in this article, you don’t have to stress out about your hair. Hair growth takes time and patience, just as healing your body takes time and patience, but with persistence, you will be successful!

Cause #1 - Acidosis

The main cause of hair loss that one should first consider is acidosis. If you’ve read my other articles and have watched my YouTube videos, you’ll know that I have spoken on acidosis as the cause of most health issues and dis-eases that plague humans today. In relation to your hair, acidosis located in the scalp region has the ability to take off your hair follicles. This is the very nature of all acids - they destroy every type of tissue in the body - therefore, it is important to alkalize your body with a detox protocol. This is done by eating raw foods - fruits, greens, and vegetables (but primarily fruits), to pump your lymphatic system to clear acids out of the body and open up the channels of elimination. It is through the main channels of elimination - the kidneys, the colon, the skin, and the lungs, that your body will be able to eliminate all acids. Herbal support along with the proper raw vegan diet is needed to accomplish the best elimination of acids and obstructions. I have had various people over the years come to me so excited after they have implemented their detox protocol I created for them, saying that their hair has grown like crazy in a short amount of time (just 1-2 months of following their protocol). For these people, the main root cause of their hair loss was acidosis. Once the body started to clear acids from out of the head region, their hair started to grow strong and fast. The best foods to clean acidosis out of the body will be astringent fruits - like oranges, grapes, watermelons, apples, lemons, berries, etc. Equally as important as including these fruits into your diet is removing the acidic forming foods from your diet that have created obstructions through the years within the lymph system. These acid forming foods are: processed foods, animal products (meat, seafood, eggs, dairy - especially!), wheat/gluten, grains, high protein foods (like beans, mock meats, tofu). When broken down by the body, these foods produce acidic ash residue that surrounds the cells and tissues. Also, if the body has a blockage within the lymph system or the kidneys are filtering the lymphatic wastes out, acids build up within the body destroying all tissues.

Kidney filtration is the body’s first main channel of elimination to open during your detox. This is why achieving kidney filtration consistently is of utmost importance. Many factors can affect kidney filtration. I often see gland weaknesses being the main causative factor for poor kidney filtration in my clients. Once a specific diet and herbal protocol is set in place according to your body’s organ and gland weaknesses as seen in your eyes through iridology, kidney filtration is finally achieved and the body begins to rapidly heal in the absence of acids that were once surrounding the cells, tissues, glands, and organs. Regeneration only occurs once the body has achieved an alkaline medium. This is why it is important to work with an experienced and knowledgeable detox specialist on your healing journey that places an emphasis on opening up all the channels of elimination within the body. Due to weakened genetics in most people nowadays, strong herbal formulas are needed to perk up and heal the glands in order to open up all the channels of elimination! This is the missing key in the healing of the human body and it is the reason why many people are still suffering and haven’t found their remedy yet unfortunately. Many of the clients that come to me have usually tried everything else to heal - having taken the natural route and medical route, all to no avail. But once they implement a strong detox protocol specific to their weaknesses, they finally begin to heal! This is why I spread this detox knowledge as much as possible to get all people out of their suffering and finally living their lives free from fear and pain!

Cause #2 - Malabsorption

Malabsorption is also a big cause of hair loss. Malabsorption issues occur in people that have mucus and mucoid plaque lining their intestines. This mucus and mucoid plaque prevents proper absorption of nutrients within the bowel wall. This mucus and mucoid plaque builds up through years of eating abrasive, acidic, or mucus forming foods. The mucosa, or the tissue that makes up the lining of the colon, is a very sensitive tissue - and it produces a mucus layer as a form of protection against the burn of acidic foods such as processed foods, meat/animal flesh, dairy products, gluten, grains/rice, excess proteins, and processed sugars. Years of building up this mucus in the colon results in a hard, thick, and rubbery mucus compound known as mucoid plaque. Mucoid plaque lining the intestinal wall blocks absorption of vital nutrients that sustain the health of the cells and tissues. It is very important to remove the mucus and mucoid plaque lining the intestinal wall! If the body is not absorbing the nutrients from the foods you eat, hair loss can occur because the body then shifts to sending nutrients to your vital organs to keep them functioning (keeping you alive), rather than hair growth (that comes secondary to survival). Thus, mucus and mucoid plaque causing malabsorption can be a major cause of hair loss to many people. To remove mucoid plaque involves consuming a raw food diet, high in astringent fruits, and taking powerful herbal formulas that remove mucoid plaque and interstitial lymphatic wastes from within the bowel wall. During a detox protocol, you should see mucus and mucoid plaque being removed in your stools to ensure that you are healing one of the main root causes of malabsorption and hair loss.

Malabsorption can not only occur due to mucus and mucoid plaque, but it can also occur if you have a weakness in either the stomach, pancreas, and or liver/gallbladder. These main digestive organs produce enzymes in their process of breaking down the foods you eat. Weaknesses in the digestive organs can be spotted by looking at the eyes through iridology. An iridology reading will help determine at what level all organs and glands are weak (acute, subacute, chronic, or degenerative) and what herbal formulas you will need in order to heal the pancreas, stomach, and/or liver/gallbladder. To regenerate the digestive organs, one must actively clean the gi tract through the lymph system - this drains the head and scalp lymphatically as well - allowing for more hair growth. A stagnant lymph system in the head can result in hair loss as discussed in the first root cause of hair loss in this article. Cleaning the gi tract lymphatically also assists in removing acidic wastes and toxicity from the stomach wall, the liver, the gallbladder, and the pancreas. It is only in an alkaline environment that these organs can regenerate and strong digestion is revived in the body. All four processes: Digestion, Absorption, Utilization and elimination must be working properly in order to gain the proper nutrition from the foods you consume. Powerful herbal formulas or Glandulars are recommended based on how weak these organs are as seen in your eyes, symptoms, and genetic history. This is why I recommend the Master Your Health Detox Package as it is the number one package that brings everything you need to get to the root cause of all your health issues and put you on the correct path to start healing your body! If you would like to work with me one-on-one in the healing of your health issues, go to: www.spiritrawpicalhealing.com/services and book an appointment!

Malabsorption and nutritional deficiencies can also occur if one has gland weaknesses in the body. The glands in your body control the third step in the processing of the foods you consume - Step 3: Utilization! An adrenal gland weakness for instance can show up as vitamin and mineral deficiencies - most notoriously iron and b12. Before you can solely blame malabsorption or deficiencies on nutritional gaps or not eating enough of a certain food within your diet, you must ensure you are actively working on healing all of these areas in your body with a powerful detoxification protocol. I highly recommend working with an experienced and knowledgeable detox specialist to build the correct diet and herbal protocol specific to combating the weaknesses as seen in your eyes, symptomology, and health history.

Cause #3 - Poor Blood flow and Circulation

Another cause of hair loss that is alarmingly quite common is poor circulation. Poor circulation impacts the health of all the cells in the body, especially the hair. This is seen in the iris by observing a blue or violet hue or haze that forms around the periphery of the iris. Some people that have very poor circulation will see this sign all around their iris - denoting that poor circulation is an issue all throughout their body, but most commonly, this sign is seen isolated in the head and scalp region. This sign means that poor circulation is occurring in the head, brain and scalp region.

The number one cause of poor circulation is due to lymphatic stagnation. Obstructions within the lymph system impacts blood flow overtime due to acidifying factors coagulating the blood, making it more viscose and causing poor blood flow. Fruits, raw foods, and herbs however, alkalize the body and start to naturally separate any blood cells that have stuck together and have created a train of blood cells. Healthy blood cells will always look like separated blood cells. When blood cells begin to stick together - one is more prone to suffering from a blockage within the vascular system and suffer from a stroke or a heart attack. I am currently seeing this become an issue with younger and younger people. Even children are showing signs of this poor circulation in their irises. This is why it is so important to detox the body and get on a specific detox healing protocol!

Another cause of poor circulation is cholesterol plaquing. Cholesterol plaquing will look like a milky white hue around the periphery of the iris. The thickness of this ring relays how serious Cholesterol plaquing is an issue in the body. Even those that have seemingly normal cholesterol levels as shown in their blood work can still have cholesterol plaquing occurring. Blood work is unreliable when testing for cholesterol. Cholesterol plaquing or calcification occur within the walls of the arteries and vascular system, due to acidosis and inflammation. It is the body’s way of buffering acids if the adrenal glands or lymph system are to weak to do so. This cholesterol plaquing makes the vascular walls more narrow and thus poor blood circulation occurs. Poor blood flow means - poor oxygenation of the cells and tissues and poor nutrient delivery to the cells and tissues. This causes tissue death and can directly impact hair loss in the scalp which is why this root cause is on this list for hair loss and poor hair growth.

All fruits help thin the blood, increasing circulation. A raw food diet is of absolute importance during healing to increase circulation. There are certain fruits that help the vascular system: Watermelon is especially wonderful in its properties in increasing blood flow with its citruline content and Berries containing powerful anti-oxidants help with all vascular conditions. A strong adrenal formula provides healing to the adrenal glands and the production of anti-inflammatory steroids that help combat cholesterol plaquing in the first place. Getting your case analyzed to create the perfect and diet and herbal protocol for you to heal is what I recommend. Cause #4 - Nutritional Gaps and Deficiencies

The next root cause of hair loss to rule out would be nutritional deficiencies. Gaps that you aren’t meeting in your diet that are essential to your health will be reflected in your hair’s ability to grow. The nutritional deficiencies that are most common to cause hair loss are calcium, vit d, iodine, iron, and omega 3. I can personally attest to my own hair growth with this being a cause. As a long time raw foodist and vegan, a deep detoxification protocol helped stop the graying of my hair as well as dandruff and itchy scalp. However, hair loss would come and go. Sometimes it looked like it was getting better, and other times my hair would shed a lot. I knew that the body can let go of old structures (hair, skin, nails, etc.) that were built on acidic foods while a person is detoxing. However, following a detoxification lifestyle for years did not show me the kind of hair growth that I wanted to see. Overall, I was waiting for my hair to regenerate. I had healed from all the other main root causes of hair loss (acidosis, malabsorption, poor circulation, stress, and hormonal issues), so then I turned to the possibility of my hair loss coming from a nutritional deficiency. This is especially an important root cause that many inexperienced detox specialists do not consider when guiding their clients.

On my own personal detox journey, it wasn’t until I started taking kelp, alfalfa, and algae oil - all high in iron, iodine, vit d, calcium, and omega 3, that my hair started to sprout within the span of a few weeks of taking these nutritious superfoods. I had found the last missing root cause of hair loss that occurs in people. This is a common cause in people that have been vegetarian, vegan, or raw vegan for some time because these specific nutrients can be easier to come by with animal foods - but animal foods disrupt the body’s chemical balance of acid and alkaline chemistry - causing the destruction of tissue, toxicity in the colon, and weakening of the kidneys and glands. With that being said, it is simply not worth it to eat animal products when great nutrition can be found in fruits, vegetables, plants, seaweed, and herbs. It is important to note the following - I do not recommend taking any vitamins and minerals mentioned above in isolated man-made forms. You want your sources of nutrients to always come from a whole food form - even if you take it in a capsule or tinctured form. When you take an isolated man made compound that is not found in nature, you run the risk of creating an imbalance in your body and leeching minerals from out of its structure in order to balance the supplements that you’ve taken! This causes a great weakness and imbalance in the body.

As an experienced detox specialist, I have tried many things to improve my health in the past. It is in my nature to continue pushing the boundaries of obtaining the best health within myself so I can provide the best knowledge and understanding for my clients. I personally had to learn the hard way with man-made supplements during my own detox journey many years ago. During my detox, I had taken a blood test that revealed I was deficient in vitamin d and took it upon myself to supplement with a vit d3 liquid. Upon the first week of taking it, I started hearing cracking and popping sounds in my spine and it felt very weak and painful. It felt as if my spine was eroding away. I also developed what felt like a bone spur in my inner thigh that impaired my flexibility and movement - I immediately stopped taking vit d, and after a few weeks the cracking and pain went away! I learned my lesson! Look to nature to heal your body! Always look to the true root causes and trust in nature to heal! This is the foundation that I have developed with all of my clients. It took detoxification for me to eliminate my bone spur and strengthen my spine again after that mishap! So many people come to me taking a long list of isolated supplements and I say that most of them are unnecessary and can actually be causing more acidosis in the body! Turning to real sources of nutrition is key. For those that have malabsorption issues or digestive issues that they are currently healing from during their detox - as mentioned in the first part of this article - it may be beneficial to get nutrition in a powdered superfood blend form or in a capsule form for best results until they have fully healed their digestion and absorption.

Looking back, I’m sure that this vitamin d supplementation effect happened in my body for two reasons - 1. I was taking too much vit d, going by the recommended dosage on the box (1,000 IU) and what medical doctors recommend - when in reality I didn’t need that much. Daily recommendation for vitamin d is 400-600 IU for adults and yet, most people that supplement are taking 1,000-50,000 IU’s daily! You can see how much harm people are unknowingly causing their bodies. 2. I wasn’t taking vitamin d with other important synergistic vitamins and minerals necessary for the body to be able to use vitamin d properly - like vit k, magnesium, and zinc that helps regulate calcium and phosphorus. This is often the case when people are taking vitamin d supplements. To think that humans can outsmart nature is detrimental to the human species as a whole. Only your body knows what it needs and does not need when consuming nutrition. When nutrients are consumed in a whole food form - the body will take what it needs and filters and eliminates out the rest. In actuality, Vitamin d is best created when the sun comes into contact with your skin - however, those with a weak or congested liver and/or stagnation in the skin can have trouble with a vitamin d deficiency. Those that do not get sun exposure or have an inflammatory or bowel disease can also have vit d deficiency. This is why it is important to get your entire case analyzed and why the Master Your Health Detox Package, or the VIP Support package are the best when starting your healing journey. With analyzing your case, I address all the possible root causes of all your health issues - and even things that you are currently taking or doing that is causing harm to your body and you don’t even know it yet!

The best approach is getting your nutrition from a whole food source that is perfectly balance in vitamins and minerals and that your body can recognize while also addressing all other root causes of disease with detoxification! After I learned my lesson, I looked into taking a powdered capsule form of kelp and alfalfa to ensure I was getting the most powerful nutrition daily that included everything that I needed. Before adding any new herbs and superfoods, it is important to work with a knowledgeable and experienced detox specialist to get your eyes and health history analyzed in order to build a specific herbal protocol for you. A specific diet and herbal protocol will address the underlying root causes of your health issues. Some people with certain health conditions or hyperactivity in certain glands or tissues should not take certain herbs. I have compiled the top 3 best nutritional raw vegan sources to take during detoxification and if you are consuming a vegan or raw vegan diet.

Best Herbs/Superfoods for Hair Growth During Detox:

  • Kelp and Sea Vegetables - rich in Iodine, Vit K1, Folate, Magnesium, Iron, Vitamin A, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium. Antioxidants - Manganese and zinc, as well as a ton of trace minerals.

  • Alfalfa - rich in Copper, Iron, Phosphorus, Zinc, Manganese, Magnesium, Calcium Potassium, Selenium, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, B5, B2, C, B9, B1, B3, Choline, B6, A, E, Amino acids, and Flavonoids. I include alfalfa caps or powder in my clients that have nutritional deficiencies, hair loss, or struggle with skinniness or malabsorption.

  • Algae Oil - The Best and only Source of Vegan Omega 3. Omega 6 can be converted into Omega 3. Omega 6 is found in flaxseed oil, black currant seed oil, borage oil, and evening primrose oil. The proper ratio of omega 3 and omega 6 is needed in the body. Omega 3 and 6 help in the utilization of vitamins A and E which help promote hair and skin health. Both Omega 3 and Omega 6 are important when healing your hair, skin, and combating inflammation in the body. Non-vegan sources of omega 3 are not recommended as they are from acidic sources that destroy and clog the body’s tissues. The brand that I recommend is the iwi Omega 3 with EPA and DHA. This is the best and cleanest brand of vegan Omega 3 I have come across and recommend to my clients.

You can include alfalfa in your meals, you can take alfalfa leaf juice, top your salad with alfalfa sprouts, alfalfa leaf juice powder can also be taken in a juice or smoothie.

You can alternatively include kelp in your meals, you can eat kelp noodles, sprinkle kelp on your salad or use as a seasoning, you can include kelp in a soup broth, you can also include powdered kelp in a smoothie.

Be sure to not overdo kelp though as you can take too much iodine that is above the daily recommendation. The recommended dosage for kelp is 600 mg (or 270 micrograms of iodine). Taking more than this is not recommended. It is important to follow the recommended dosage on the bottle of kelp. *Those with hyperthyroidism or sensitivity to iodine should not take kelp. This is why it is important to work with a detox specialist in helping you build your perfect diet and herbal protocol specific to your body’s weaknesses and needs to heal your health issues! I recommend the Master Your Health Package or the VIP Support package (if you want unlimited guidance and support during your detox). Both of these packages bring everything you need to get started on your healing detox journey by addressing all your weaknesses the correct way the first time!

Cause #5- Hormonal Issues - Estrogen Dominance

The next cause of hair loss that I will go into is hormonal issues. Female imbalances and hair loss are practically synonymous with each other in today’s day and age. In my experience seeing countless clients over the years, I have noticed that many women have very high estrogen levels in their bodies. This is either due to estrogen dominance, or due to low progesterone levels that keep estrogen levels in check. Estrogen hormone is a stimulant and activates certain processes in the body - but too much can cause many health issues, particularly in women that have already very acidic bodies. Estrogen (an acidic hormone), with acidosis in the tissues of the body - creates a double acidic effect - causing the worsening of health issues. For females that run higher estrogen and have toxic acidic bodies for instance, there will be certain times in the menstrual cycle that they will experience a lot of hair loss (when estrogen is at its peak). Likewise, if women experience excessive bleeding during their cycle - the loss of iron can also cause hair loss issues. The key to healing and balancing all hormones and the cause of hormonal hair loss is to detox and strengthen the glands.

To heal estrogen dominance, you always want to focus on healing the ovaries, the adrenal glands, and the pituitary gland. Both the ovaries and adrenals produce estrogen in the body. When these glands are weak - either over production or under production of estrogen occurs. The pituitary gland is also of great importance as the pituitary gland controls the function all the glands in the body (including the ovaries and adrenals). Some people have 1 gland weakness - the pituitary gland that can cause hormonal issues, or multiple gland weaknesses. All must be addressed to heal the root cause of hair loss or any other health issues. You can see if these glands are weak through getting your health and eyes thoroughly analyzed and having a diet and herbal protocol in place that will heal these glands.

Cause #6 - Stress and Hair Loss

Lastly is stress. Stress alone can cause major hair loss. Sometimes life can throw us unexpected obstacles that create much stress in our bodies. Sometimes all of us can collectively experience stress - like many people are experiencing globally during this time during this p lan demic, with feelings of uncertainty, fear, depression, anxiety, and stress. The physical body does not respond to stress well. Too much stress is acid forming within the body - and will further add to its acidic overload already present within the tissues. Stress also shuts down the channels of elimination: the kidneys, the colon, the skin, and the lungs!

Our body’s respond with stress to that which it perceives as a threat to our survival. In the past as a human race, stress was involved with staying alive in the wilderness and meeting our basic needs. Nowadays, most people’s stress comes from feeling unhappy and unfulfilled, feeling uncertain about their job, school, or career, family issues, caring too much about what other people think, social media, the news, and more. I have seen increasingly just how many people have chronic gland weaknesses and thus, their ability to handle stress is very low. Detoxification heals and regenerates all gland weaknesses!

It is important for us to take note of what we can control in our lives and simplify as much as we can. Have you noticed how some people can handle stress more than others? This is in part due to the strength of their glands, as well as the mental and emotional programs that they have learned. Their are many techniques to reduce stress that you can implement but going down this list will often get to the root cause of your stress. You may find yourself needing to address many of these things on this list.

1. Gland weaknesses. Identify your gland weaknesses. They are revealed in your symptomology and in your irises through an iridology analysis. Support your gland weaknesses: the thyroid gland (irritability/depression), adrenal glands (anxiety/ability to handle stress), parathyroid glands (depression), and hypothalamus gland (imbalanced work ethic/being too hard on oneself). Strong herbal formulas help heal and regenerate the glands of the body once and for all. Single herbs such as ashwagandha and lemon balm can help manage stress, anxiety, and depression.

2. Eliminate all that is causing you unhappiness and stress (that you can currently control). Be grateful for what you have in this present moment while also looking forward to all the good things that awaits you in the future.

3. Make time for yourself each day, even if it is only a few minutes a day. Set down your phone, set down all screens, and go outside if possible. Spend quiet time with yourself or implement some self-care practices. Don’t neglect taking care of yourself (taking a bath, feeding yourself, hydrating yourself, getting creative and having fun, journaling, stretching.) Live a balanced life.

4. Understand that life is about ups and downs. It is part of the human experience. This 3D world is made up of contrasts. The light only exists because of the darkness. Realize that your misfortunes are not really all negative. They are opportunities for you to grow and change things up if needed!

5. Work towards building the life that you want to live. If you can dream up this life, you can achieve it!

If you have seen, or are seeing hair loss, thinning hair, hair breakage or balding, then it is time to detox! As a detox specialist, I can see what your healing protocol should look like through the signs your body exhibits with your symptoms, health history, and the signs in your areas. This is imperative in knowing which of these areas need the most support on your healing journey in order for you to completely heal. If you would like to work with me one-on-one in the healing of your health issues, go to: www.spiritrawpicalhealing.com/services to book an appointment!
