The Most Overlooked System of The Body!

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to talk a little bit today about our Endocrine system (The Glandular system). Reason being is that I see so many gland weaknesses in all the people I come across with health problems, including my clients. It is a shame because the endocrine gland system is such an important system that is often overlooked! The endocrine glandular system encompasses all of the following glands: the pituitary gland, the pineal gland, the thyroid glands, the parathyroid glands, the thymus, the adrenal glands, the pancreas, the glands within the intestinal mucosa, and lastly the ovaries and testes. As you can see, it is a huge system with a lot of responsibilities. The Endocrine system is the system that controls all the activities within the body; vital processes like breathing, nerve response, temperature changes, and elimination - basically things that we don't think about in our day-to-day lives and we take for granted. The Endocrine system's responsibility is also achieving homeostasis within the body through the hormones its glands secrete. When these important processes start to fail, we definitely start to take notice. Unfortunately by that time, the body has usually fallen into chronic levels of disease and it starts affecting our day-to-day lives in a major way. Those with extreme glandular weaknesses find it hard to do simple activities because of the extreme fatigue they have (adrenal gland weakness) or debilitating depression (parathyroid glands weakness).

So, what do I mean when I say a gland is weak? Well, it is either one of two things.

1. The gland's function is being suppressed by obstructions surrounding it. Things like: acids, mucus, parasites, and the like. This is the case in Hyper conditions of glands like Hyperthyroidism.

2. The gland's function has begun to falter because of actual deterioration of the tissues of the gland due to a build-up of acids that have burned away at the tissues over time. This is the case in Hypo Conditions like Hypothyroidism.

Obviously, the first cause scenario is an easier fix than the second. It is scary how much I see the second case scenario every day in my work as a detox specialist, especially within the younger generation - people within the age range of 1-30. Years back, chronic and degenerative conditions from glandular failure were only really found in elderly people, and rarely found in young people. It is sad to say that because of our unhealthy lifestyles, diets, and very present genetic weaknesses being passed down to younger generations, we are at the point in time where we are even seeing infants being born with chronic and degenerative conditions.

*To give you perspective on how serious of a problem this has become in our time, about 75 percent of all diseases can be attributed to the failure of the glandular system.

A weak glandular system will manifest itself, but not limited to in all of the following:

> Scoliosis >Depression >Connective tissue weakness >Varicose veins >Hemorrhoids >Hernias >Aneurysms (All due to lack of proper calcium utilization from weak parathyroid glands).

>Fibrocystic Issues >Fibromyalgia >Fibroids >Cysts >Cholesterol plaquing (All due to low steroid production)

Now who is the head honcho of the endocrine gland system? Who calls the shots?

An even more overlooked part of the body is the master gland of this entire glandular system, and that is the pituitary gland. When this little gland located in the middle of your brain is down, it causes a chain reaction producing multiple symptoms all over the body. Although one may think that the real problem may be coming from one gland, the thyroid gland in hypothyroidism for example, the actual problem may be coming from the pituitary gland that controls the functioning of the thyroid.

The Pituitary Gland

With pituitary gland weaknesses, we can see serious neurological degenerative conditions like:

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Parkinson's

  • Cerebral Palsy

And we also see chronic conditions like:

  • Hypothyroidism

  • Hypo-function of the ovaries

  • Under-active or overactive tissue or cell growth

  • Rapid aging

  • Diabetes

  • Lactation problems

It can be hard to tell if you have a weak pituitary gland that is contributing to your health issues and bringing your other glands down. There are some physical signs that only the pituitary gland is responsible for though. For example, the pituitary gland releases Growth Hormone - which is responsible for our growth during childhood. So, if you are particularly short - less than 5'6" for women and less than 5'8" for men, then one can assume some pituitary weakness. The same can also be said for those that are very tall - 6'0" and above. The pituitary gland also releases a Follicle Stimulating Hormone, which controls the menstrual cycle in women. So if you have an irregular menstrual cycle, you can also suspect Pituitary gland issues. However, at the end of the day, the only sure way to tell if your pituitary is down is to have your eyes checked by someone adept in Iridology. The eyes are the map of the entire body and show the health of the tissues through markings in the iris. I often look at my client's eyes to get a better picture of what's going on in their body.

In this blog post we discussed the main gland of the glandular system, the pituitary gland, but really all of the glands are vital to the health of the human body. With the functioning of the endocrine gland system, we definitely see how every part of the body interacts with its other parts. So, how do we strengthen the glands of our beautiful, intelligent Endocrine System? Well, we must look to nature to clean and strengthen our bodies again. If we eat self-cleansing foods like fruits and stop consuming acidifying and mucus forming foods like meat, dairy, processed and refined sugars, then we can give the body an actual chance to heal itself. Fruits and herbs help cleanse the body of the acids and obstructions that weaken our glands. Fruits, specific glandular herbs, and sometimes glandular themselves (depending on how chronic and degenerative the case is) are what help build the glands back up again in functioning order. Achieving true health is about clearing out the obstructions from your body that are impairing your cells from working optimally, and it is also about building new cells and dna with the right diet - the Raw food diet! It is all about Detoxification and Regeneration!

Until next time,

Happy Healing!
